3D Lamp Base Model

This was a project I did in my Aesthetics and Environment class last semester. I learned how to use CAD programs and 3D printers for the first time through this project. My team and I were assigned a company to research and understand the kinds of designs and products they produce, the materials they use, the different finish options they have for different materials, etc. Once we had fully researched the company and its products, our professor wanted each member of the group to design and 3D print a model lamp base that could possibly be a design that the company would produce. This was definitely a learning experience for me because there was a lot of trial and error. I went through a couple of designs trying to make sure the design was durable after printing, and eventually, after a couple of failed attempts, this was the design that was similar to the products of the company and durable once printed.
